Tyler Craig - Newborn Session

Capturing the first few hours and days right after birth is always such a privilege and never ceases to amaze me. All of God's creations are incredible but witnessing the beginning of a human life is something that never gets old! I was recently given the opportunity to capture the beginning of our friends' very new little boy. What a pleasure it was!

"S" Family

The "S" Family was a real pleasure to get to know better during their session. It was definitely a fun session and one that I really enjoyed during editing as well. It was a real treat to make some custom art out of one of their images for them!

First in a while....Harper

It HAS been a while since I've posted a preview of my sessions. A friend of mine recently stated that life has a way of carrying you away with it sometimes and that has been definitely true in my case lately. I'll be posting some glimpses of a couple of sessions that I did last Fall, but haven't found the time to post until now. 


Harper was just so much fun to photograph and I found myself laughing just as much as she was! Her fun-loving attitude is so contagious!

Styling your Fall session

One of the things that I do like about the Fall season is the colors. There are so many beautiful colors everywhere around me each time I step out of doors, and the fragrance....oh, ever so nostalgic! I think that Fall would easily be my favorite season of the year if it weren't for the simple fact that six months of winter follow. : )


When thinking about what to wear for your Fall session, don't be afraid to add pops of color. It's still best to avoid very bold patterns and neons, but the more subtle colors of fall will blend wonderfully and give a very rich, cohesive look to your portraits. The "S" Family....

It was an absolutely gorgeous day in Petoskey, MI...one of the last few such days that we would be blessed with this summer. The "S" Family was so much fun to meet and get to know. They have three adorable children who I had the privilege to get to know just a tiny bit! Here's just a peak! Enjoy!
